Even after you have discovered the world of pouch underwear – a life-changing moment for many men – there still remains the question of what particular style is best for you. Why are mid cuts great for winter?  

Mid cut boxers should offer coverage all the way from just under your waist halfway down your upper legs. This puts an additional layer between your skin in those areas and the outside – and an additional layer will provide room for air, and air is one of the best thermal insulators there is. Some general recommendations when shopping for men’s mid cuts:

• Only choose fitted mid cuts that have a pouch – otherwise there is a risk of discomfort from pressure on your genitals. In some cases you may not even be aware of it, until it starts to become  more intense ✔️​
• 4-way elastic fabric. Make sure if your boxer is fitted, it actually adapts to your body. That’s why the ergonomic design is so important. ✔️
• Breathable fabric: Don’t forget that your skin is part of your respiration system! ✔️​
• High quality  elastic waistband: You don’t want it to slide down when you bend over, squat, or even just when you sit down. ✔️​

Midcuts will protect your inner thighs

Some men suffer when their inner thighs rub against each other – this can be very painful during sports or even just in long walks. Mid cut boxers will prevent this from happening by creating two extra layers that will avoid contact between those delicate parts of your thighs.

The state-of-the-art mesh fabric we use to make this version of the MAX Midcut is truly amazing: 4-way elasticity, tiny holes in the fabric provide room for air flow and moisture evaporation and polyamide fiber feels cool when you touch it.  And it just feels so smooth on your skin, it’s hard to describe.  

SLK Midcut – same coverage with a narrower waistband

The SLK version is essentially like the MAX XX but the waistband has been narrowed to 25mm (1″). The three-dimensional pouch is also nose-shaped for a natural fit of your genitals.

X4D Midcut for easy access

All our X4D styles have a concealed narrow waistband that is still strong enough to hold your boxer up, but allows very easy access without having to lower your pants (e.g. for urinating).  The construction of the body is slightly different from our MAX and SLK styles, but the pouch is also nose-shaped. Only flat seams are used to assemble the parts.
